WEST COAST SWING
West Coast Swing Lessons
A smooth, slotted swing style you can dance to everything from blues and pop to modern hits—
built on great connection, timing, and technique.
Utah loves Country Swing—now choose your track. We teach the classic social style,
Rodeo-style energy, and the modern technique-driven approach growing across the country.
Classic Country Swing: fun patterns, spins, and social confidence
Rodeo Swing: bigger energy, faster combos, dips/tricks only when safe & appropriate
Modern Country Swing: cleaner technique, connection, and musicality—great for events & competitions
Start with our beginner pathway and we’ll help you choose the best fit after your first class.
You’ll get a strong foundation in timing, connection, and the swing “feel” that carries into every style.

Quick answers for first-time dancers in Salt Lake City.
Do I need a partner for swing classes?
Most beginner swing classes rotate partners so you can come solo. Couples are always welcome—just let the instructor know if you prefer to stay together.
What should I wear for West Coast Swing or Country Swing?
Wear something comfortable you can move in. For shoes: smooth soles are helpful (avoid super “sticky” rubber). Country Swing often pairs well with boots or sneakers with a little slide.
Is Modern Country Swing different from classic Country Swing?
Modern Country Swing typically puts extra emphasis on clean technique, connection, and musicality—often with a more “polished” look—while classic Country Swing focuses on a fun social feel. We’ll guide you based on your goals.
How do I start if I’m a total beginner?
Start with an Intro class or a 3-hour beginner bootcamp. After that, you’ll move into Level 1 with a clear path forward.
